Hi, I'm Jason Larkfield. I'm a teacher, school IT technician, and tech enthusiast who runs a school esports program.
My story
How I got into tech
I got into technology when I was very young. My first game system was a Game Boy Color, and I loved playing Pokémon. Later, my dad bought a desktop PC for the family, and that's when I really started learning. Using a PC back then took a lot of tinkering. I looked up guides to install things, and I upgraded our PC with more memory, a bigger hard drive, and new graphics cards so it could run certain games. All of that came with problems to fix. Learning to troubleshoot at a young age built the foundation that has helped me through my career.

Why PixelWise Family
Why I made PixelWise Family
Working with schools during the rise of AI, I've seen many misconceptions, concerns, and problems around kids and AI. They range from students using it to cheat to pushes to ban it altogether. I believe parents can teach their kids how to learn and use AI the right way. So I wrote these guides to help parents teach their kids to use AI as a powerful tool, not a replacement for their own critical thinking.
What families get
The AI at Home Family Kit starts with The Parent's Guide to AI at Home, in plain English for grown-ups. It also includes a Family AI Agreement you write and sign together, a Parent Workbook, a Talk & Print Pack of conversation cards and posters, and Family Activity Packs for ages 5–8, 9–12, and 13–17. Everything is a PDF you print at home.
Outside of work
